Lynmouth Flood Sequencing Activity TWO

Pupils sort the following statements into a logical order. Justify their decisions…

People moved their valuables upstairs

The ground became saturated (full up with water!)

A lot of people did not hear the flood warning because it was at night

In the first two weeks of August 1952 there was a lot of rain

The army helped to evacuate people who were stranded in their homes
